Route 66 East Gateway

The Route 66 Gateway is located on the north side of E. 11th Street just east of I-44. It has an LED Route 66 shield and upward illumination at night. It was installed in the Fall of 2014.

The smaller portion of the Gateway is on the south side of the street. A much more extensive West Gateway is located on the west end of town.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
