With just 13 miles of Route 66 and only three towns on the Route Kansas would seem like a quick trip, not so fast ... there's plenty to see!
xGalena: Little's Service Station
Front St and Main
The Cars on the Route cafe/gift shop is located in the 1934 Little's Service Station building.
xRiverton: Eisler Brothers Riverton Store
7109 Highway 66
The William's General Store opened in 1925, they also sold Texaco Gas. A sign out front read Y-NOT-EAT Bar B Q.
xRiverton: Marsh Rainbow Arch Bridge
Beasley Rd. west of Riverton.
This 1923 bridge over Brush Creek is called the March Arch Bridge and the Rainbow Bridge.
xBaxter Springs: Route 66 Visitors Center
940 Military Ave.
The Route 66 Visitor Center was built in 1930 for the Independent Oil and Gas Station but became a Phillips 66 shortly after.

Did You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
