In 1957 this was Chan's Texaco which also sold Firestone tires, by 1964 it had become Ronnie Smith's Texaco. In 1967 it was one of 5 Texaco stations in a 10 block stretch of route 66 in Shamrock. It was Spinning Jenny's House of Music in 2017 when I snapped this photo. Joey Martinez of Lubbock Texas drew the murals on the outside

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
