A Conoco station stood on this corner for at least thirty years from 1930 to 1960 and probably beyond that. Ralph Godfrey ran it for most of those years. It appeared to be vacant when we went by in 2019.

Did You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
