I guess it's the "former" Spangler's Grocery now, having closed in the spring of 2012, apparently about the time this photo was taken. The sign is gone and the store was dark when we took this photo. The sign spanned all of one store front and part of the next, maybe two spaces had been combined sometime in the past.

Did You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
