Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Gee opened the Golden Dragon Restaurant in 1965. Before that the early 1950s building housed Hall's Restaurant. Hall's promoted specialties including "Hickory Smoked Chicken, Charcoaled Steaks, Mexican Food, Italian Pizza & Spaghetti, and Hickory Bar-B-Q".

Did You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
