910 Old Hwy 66, Moriarty, NM
Phone:
This streamline style building is the former Tillery's Garage from the
late 1940s. It has been used by several businesses since then. In 2006
it was the Route 66 Printing shop, 2013 it was KC's Restaurant, In 2016
it was Kick's arts and antique shop.
On
the front of the building is one of the five murals painted in 2013
as part of the "Murals along the Mother Road" competition.
This is part of the RETRO-Relive the Route, a non-profit Route 66 Revitalization
project. It is funded by the New Mexico MainStreet program. The artist
of this mural is Robin Matlack of Edgewood.
The
service bay garage doors have been replaced by display windows. This
2013 photo shows the building as KC's Restaurant. The top photo is from
2019 and shows it as Kicks.
