According to the National Register of Historic Places this building was
constructed in 1946 by J.W. Ferguson Jr. who operated a Mobil gas station
here. Other sources say it was an early post office. It is the last old
building going west on old 66 towards San Jon, NM. (There is one small
more modern building that doesn't appear to be of any historical significance
just west of this building.)
