Ferguson Gas Station

Route 66, Glenrio, NM
Phone:
x

East < GO > West

According to the National Register of Historic Places this building was constructed in 1946 by J.W. Ferguson Jr. who operated a Mobil gas station here. Other sources say it was an early post office. It is the last old building going west on old 66 towards San Jon, NM. (There is one small more modern building that doesn't appear to be of any historical significance just west of this building.)

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
