Route 66, Edgewood, NM
Phone:
x

East < GO > West

The abandoned Midway Trading Post is on the east side of Edgewood just past Hwy. 11 (Williams Ranch Rd/V Hill Rd) -There is a "private property" sign outside. The "Route 66" Emblem and the "Midway Trading Post" signage was painted by Willy & Molly Fischer of DaddyoDesigns in 2013.

xThe beehive shaped adobe oven shown in front of the box car is known as "horno".

xThis is a pretty big site and the building and boxcar set back a bit from the road. The pump island from the gas station days are still in place between the building and the road.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
