East < GO > West

The 1947 Goffs General Store also had a bar, restaurant, and a dance floor, all on one level. This was the largest building in town at one time. The store was still open in 2000, but has fallen on tough times since then.

x When the original owners sold it, the new owner added the second story facade. The tower and part of one second floor wall remained in place, but the rest had pretty much fallen down or been removed by the time we snapped these photos in 2013.

x There is a little abandoned building between the Goffs General Store and the railroad tracks.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
