The former Navajo Lodge Motel went on to become the Arizona 8 Motel and it was the Arizona Apartments when we went by in 2015. According to the 2012 Historic Resource Survey of Route 66 in Arizona this motel was built in 1962.

Note: There seems to be a slightly confusing bit of information on this postcard when it comes to the motels location. It says U. S. 66 West and 719 E(ast)3rd St. East is correct, where the west came from I don't know, but it seems odd to list both.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
