Jim, George & Pete Kretsedemas opened the Falcon Restaurant in this location in 1955 and went on to run it for the next 43 years. It was still attracting crowds of hungry guests in 2015. Check out the cool old signs.

Note: It's interesting to see how promotional material changes over time. In this case the "Cocktail Lounge" signage and highlights on the 1960's postcard was gone when we went through Winslow in 2015. The main sign then simply said "Falcon Family Restaurant".

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
