Pete's Gas Station Museum features a 1950 Ford parked next to a pair of
visible gas pumps under the canopy. One of the gas pump globes is Mobilgas
and the other is Shell. Inside there is a collection of Route 66 memorabilia
and more. The station was built in 1949. The canopy and paint scheme shown
in this photo were added after the museum moved into the building.
This mural is on the wall of the building net to Pete's, and when we
where there in 2013 there was an old Ford Bronco parked there in the
corner.

road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
