I don't know what you could say about the state of this place in 2015 that the photo's don't say better. The building dates back to 1904/5 starting out as the Pioneer Hall and Theater. In 1930 it became a Drug Store and Soda Fountain (Ted's) that bragged about being "Famous for Malts". Over the years it has served as a Theater, Dance Hall, Soda Fountain and Gourmet Coffee Shop.

x The hand lettered signpost gives the mileage to other towns along historic Route 66.

Oatman 101
Tucumcari 570

Chicago and LA/Santa Monica didn't make the list! Joplin and Lincoln might be out of sequence :)

The building is on the National Register of Historic Places: Seligman Historic District listing.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
