Roy Hume's Mobil station is on the east side of Ash Fork. Roy is a fourth-generation
native of the town. It has been here since the mid 1950s. The Mobile Station
on the east end of town had a whole row of classic cars lined up beside
it when we snapped this photo. Lewis is the one way westbound Route 66
in this part of Ash Fork.
That's an early 1950's Packard and pickup truck and a 1961 Buick.

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
