The original 1948 Chee;s Indian Store was demolished and paved over when I-40 came through in 1970. A few generations later the store was still plugging along in a no longer new location in the NW corner of the intersection of I-40 (exit 351) and Allentown Rd. The signs on the building advertise the Indian Store with a Rock Shop and also Indian Blankets and Books.

Ortega's Indian Arts is located across the street.
