Marshfield is on the original 1926 to 1954 alignment of Route 66. I-55 became Route 66 here in 1955. From old 66 you turn south on Marshall St. or east on Madison to reach the Courthouse Square in Marshfield.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
