Roark's Hardware is the oldest operating hardware store on Route 66. It dates back to 1929 in this building. The Milburn Price & Culture Museum building around the corner on Coke Street was originally the Western Lumber Store to which Roark's can trace their store history.

A coffee shop has been added to the store.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
