The 23 OR 24 unit mid-century Bonanza Motel is a typical "U" shaped motel. At one time there was a pleasant looking swimming pool and play area in the courtyard, but both are long gone.

This photo and the 1964 postcard shown below show pretty much the same appearance, except for the sign and the missing pool in the courtyard. Many of these smaller independent motel filled in or removed their swimming pools because of the cost of maintenance and meeting new regulations.

Note: There's no mention of room phones, and this was the mid-1960s. The pool shown in the courtyard on this 1964 postcard is gone. There's no mention of room phones, which seems odd for a 50s or early 60s motel. That's a 61 or 62 Cadillac under the canopy by the office.
