1930's City Hall Building

If this mid 1920's building looks a bit odd, it's probably because half of it was torn down after a fire. But before that it was the McLean City Hall in the 1930's.

The missing part of the building was where the outside stairway is in this photo, which accounts for the seeming asymmetrical design of the face with it's stepped parapet and brick trim and concrete diamond shapes above the windows.

The storefront has been filled in by a garage door and entry door. First Street is the westbound alignment of Route 66 at this point.
