Route 66 Midpoint Signs

I-40 Exit 22, Route 66, Adrian, TX

East < GO > West

The good folks of Adrian proudly proclaim their spot as the mid-point of Route 66, 1139 miles to either Los Angeles or Chicago with this sign located across the road from the Mid-Point Cafe and the Sunflower Station.

It's pretty hard to miss the mid-point with a big white line and four Route 66 shields painted on the road.

Replica of the 1914 sign placed by the AAA on the National Old Trails Rd. This sign is also located across the road from the Midpoint Cafe and the Sunflower Station near I-40 Exit 22.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
