\This mural is on the east wall of the commercial building at 401 W. Main
St. (Rt 66 and 4th St.). The scene depicts a meal stop for the cowboys
driving the cattle up the Chisholm Trail next to the Canadian River.

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
