\This mural is on the east wall of the commercial building at 401 W. Main St. (Rt 66 and 4th St.). The scene depicts a meal stop for the cowboys driving the cattle up the Chisholm Trail next to the Canadian River.

Joy Willingham Owen painted the 48 by 15 foot mural in the early 1990s.

Did You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
