Route 66 Park is located at 3770 Southwest Blvd, across the street from Webster High School. The train consists of, the 1942 blue-and-silver Frisco number 4500 steam locomotive and tender, a Murray Hill solarium lounge car built in 1929, a Weyerhauser Box car and Tank car and the Frisco 1157 caboose, built in the 1930s or 1940s as a box car. Volunteers have worked several years restoring these cars. What a labor of love.

Also at the Route 66 Park is a 154 foot derrick as part of a tribute to Tulsa's oil industry. The Sue Bland #1 oil derrick in Red Fork was the first derrick in Tulsa County. This photo was taken in 2012 when the park was fairly new, more items will be added to the park over time.

There's a rubber wheeled trolley parked here, not sure what the deal is with that.

The village is the site of a Blue Star Memorial By-Way monument. These Monuments recognize the men and women of the U.S. Military for their service to the country.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
