The owners Jim & Sara Hardcastle, sold their Meltdown Gourmet Grilled Cheese food truck in 2017 and opened the Meltdown Diner. They renovated a 1949 gas station. They sell a large variety of grilled cheese sandwiches and they are really tasty.

Did You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
