Meadow Gold Sign
11th St. at Quaker Ave., Tulsa, OK
Phone:
The Meadow Gold Dairy erected this large rooftop sign in 1934 on their
buidling at 11th Street & Lewis Ave, about a mile east of here. That
building was demolished in 2004, but the sign was saved. The restored
sign now sits on this little structure built especially for it. To give
a little scale each face of the sign is 30 feet wide and 30 feet tall.
Each of the plaques on the small podiums tell more related history.
The sign now sits proudly at 11th Street and Quaker Ave. Both the old
location and this one are on the 1933 alignment of Route 66.
