The 50 room Desert Hills Motel has stood on Route 66 since it opened in 1953. We've stayed here a couple of times.

The neon sign out front was renovated in 2004 and lights up the night just like in the good old days. The "good old days" in the case of this sign date back to when the place was new.

A long mural Route 66 is painted on the fence opposite the office. Makes for a great photo opportunity. The grassy area is where the swimming pool used to be.
