The Lincoln Motel, formerly the Lincoln Court was built by Joe Gibson in 1939. Gibson had previosly owned a lodging business near the railroad depot.

xThere are eight two unit buildings and one four unit bulding in two rows lined up along the road. Another building houses the office and maybe the owner/manages apartment. There is one more smaller building behind the office that I don't know the purpose for.

A large neon Lincoln Motel sign stands out front. A hedge runs along the street frontage. The sign below it proclaims

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
