Bristow Train Depot1 Railroad Place, Bristow, OKPhone:
The depot was originally built by the SLSF (Frisco) Railroad as part of a route between Sapulpa & Oklahoma City. It was almost destroyed, but restored instead, in the early 1980s by the Burlington Northern but the Bristow Historical Society went to court. The society won but had to agree to not have a restaurant or other high-traffic business in the building. As well as the museum it currently also houses the Bristow Chamber of Commerce.

on display here is Caboose #999334. Directly across from the depot is
a plaza leading to Main St. A kind of fun note is that, at one time,
the western singer and actor Gene Autry worked here as a telegraph operator.

Did
You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
