East < GO > West

This is part of the 1926-1965 alignment through Bellvue, which apparently was at the intersection of Old Hwy. 66 and Hwy. 48, there are just a few house around there now.

Take OK (Route) 66 about 2.3 miles west from the west end of the Tank Farm Loop and jog right (north) onto Old Hwy. 66 (181st St. / E0770 Rd) instead of curving left. Then follow Old Hwy. 66 / 181st St. to Hwy. 48, then go south to reconnect with the newer OK (Route) 66.

East end GPS: 35.901030, -96.365232
181st at Hwy. 48 GPS: 35.900885, -96.387615
West end GPS: 35.882496, -96.385374

As you approach Hwy. 48 a tiny bit, maybe 100 feet or so, of the old road curves off to the south, go straight to the stop sign and turn south there.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
