The Route 66 Motel of Afton is located at the intersection of US 59 & US 69, a miles east of town. Each room as a theme. It's the last operating motel in Afton and is right next to the Green Country Cafe and across the road from the Buffalo Ranch. It was formerly known as Grand Lake Country Inn. We stayed in the jungle theme room.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
