The Trade Station was restored to look like a vintage Texaco Station as part of the "Paint the Town" project which involved sprucing up the town by painting former gas stations. The paint schemes on these stations didn't neccessarily match the actual history of any given station that was repainted as part of this project.

The Trade Station deals in pottery, antiques, jewelry, collectibles and more according to a newspaper ad. The gabled canopy would most likely not have been original to this style of building.
