The Comet II Drive-In originally operated as the Mucho Burger from 1952
until 1961 when it became the Comet II. Several generations of the Martinezes
family have operated the restaurant. The canopy was added in 1955. The
building looks much like it did in 1961.
Check
out the neon Zia on the front of the building.
There
is a Sencic Historic Marker for the Louis S. and Joe O. Page Highway
near theback corner of the restaurant parking lot.
