Cactus Mall
700 Central
Address
Phone:
The 14-unit Cactus Motel was opened by Charles M & Maria McPherson
in 1952 and is now the Cactus Mall. The mall is located at the intersection
of Harvard & Rt. 66. Small vintage motels frequently repurposed in
various ways. Turning one into a mall is one of the less common reuses,
apartments are probably the most common. Offices and storage units are
other fairly common reuses.
This
isn't the original sign which was a freestanding unit without the cactus.
