Milagro Phillips 66 Station

I-40 Exit 243, Milagro, NM
Phone:

East < GO > West

It's hard to miss the large "Milagro: sign as you approach it from the east on I-40. The are two exits here, 243a and 243, either one will get you to the station and sign. That's our 2017 Toyota in this 2019 photo.

xThe gas station and Milagro signs are easily visible from the westbound lanes on I-40. This station has been a fixture on Route 66 west of Santa Rosa, Rudy and Doris Marquez ran this it for 24 years ending in 2016. Since then the station has found new operators.

An abandoned gas station stands silent on the southeast corner of the interchange.

The short gravel frontage roads running east and west from the interchange along the south side of I-40 may be left over from the 1938 alignment of Route 66.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
