Bowlin's Flying C Ranch Travel Center is the latest version of Roy E Cline's 1945 Flying-C-Ranch. Cline sold the business in 1961. The new owners, the Flying C Ranch, Inc., added a a Stuckey's Restaurant to the site. Cline had sold his original Cline's Corners in 1939.

Today Bowlin's offers food, fuel, and souvenirs. Some of the food comes from of an attached Dairy Queen restaurant. Bowlin's has a long history on Route 66 dating back to 1936 when they opened the Old Crater Trading Post in Bluewater.

NOTE: On the second postcard (Stuckey's) the "Interstate 10" is an accurate quote from the back of the card, it should have said Interstate 40. The Santa Rosa mailing address is just a Post Office thing. The first postcard is a "Real Photo Postcard" with no descriptive text on the back. You can see the name Cline's on the side of the gas station.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
