In 2009 the sign on the front said Good Deal 2nd Hand Store.

The name Hollywood Diner is still visible on the sign, even though part
of it has been painted over at some point in time. The neon tubing that
spelled out Hollywood and Diner is all gone, a double row of incandescent
light bulbs lined the front edge of the sign, the sockets are empty
now.
