The Hollywood Diner on west Santa Fe (Route 66) in Grants opened in 1955. It appears to be a heavily modified "Double Deluxe" Valentine diner. Fittingly Hollywood actors were known to frequent the diner when working on movies being filmed in the area.

In 2009 the sign on the front said Good Deal 2nd Hand Store.

x The name Hollywood Diner is still visible on the sign, even though part of it has been painted over at some point in time. The neon tubing that spelled out Hollywood and Diner is all gone, a double row of incandescent light bulbs lined the front edge of the sign, the sockets are empty now.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
