The 19 unit Blue Spruce Lodge reportedly closed in 2022. It was opened
in 1949 by John Novak and John Milosevich using the slogan "For A
Pleasant Stay in the Indian Capital". Milosevich managed the motel
and eventually bought out Novak.
The very cool neon sign stands proudly out front hailing weary Route
66 travelers to stop for a nights rest.
