The 24 unit Arrowhead Lodge was built in 1948 . It is arranged in a U shape with a courtyard in the center. In the 1960s the original arrowhead-shaped sign was replaced with a more modern looking sign.

There are so many old motels along Route 66 in Gallup that sometimes the signs seem to overlap each other, as seen here with the very cool Arrowhead Lodge sign in front of a Blue Spruce Motel sign.
