The Cathedral Bascilica of St Francis of Assisi was built between 1869-1886 and renovated in 1967. It stands on the site of two earlier church buildings. It is commonly known as Saint Francis Cathedral and is located at 131 Cathedral Place, about a block from the Santa Fe Plaza.
