This streamline Modern building was a Hudson Dealership in the late 40s and and a Kaiser-Frazer dealership in the early 1950s.

Bill Burnham had been in the auto finance and trailer sales and rental business here since at least the late 30s. In the late 40s he operated a Hudson Dealership & Service Garage here. Burnham was the Hudson distributor for much of New Mexico serving dealers in several cities. By 1952 this was the Albuquerque Kaiser-Frazer Automobile dealership, but Burnham still had his trailer sales lot next door at 700 S. 4th.

xThe L shaped building behind the main building was probably the service bays for the dealerships.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
