Historic Phelps County Courthouse

The old historic Phelps County Courthouse was completed in 1860 and went on to be used as a hospital during the Civil War. It was the Phelps County Courthouse until 1994 when the new courthouse was dedicated. The old courthouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993

xThere is a monument honoring those who served our country between 1943 - 1964, it was dedicated in 1964. The plaque reads:

IN HONOR OF
OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS
WHO HAVE SERVED, WHO ARE SERVING, AND WHO WILL SERVE TO PROTECT OUR COUNTRY AND OUR FLAG

THIS PLAQUE IS ERECTED BY
THE AMERICAN WAR MOTHERS
PHELPS COUNTY CHAPTER

CHARTERED BY UNITED STATES CONGRESS, 1925
