The Lebanon I-44 Speedway opened in 1983 just east of Lebanon next to
the old Route 66. The 3/8 mile track has an interesting history having
opened as a dirt track then getting paved with asphalt in 1989, then reverting
to dirt in 2003 before being repaved with asphalt in 2009.
If you like short track racing and are in Lebanon on a Saturday night
from April to September you might want to consider taking in a race
here.

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
