The former Forest Manor Motel was right across the street from the Munger Moss Motel and Next to the Starlite Lanes bowling alley. Originally it was called the Green Gables Court Motel and consisted of cottages with attached garages. The motel is permanently closed, but the building was still standing in 2021.

It still was a motel and small RV Park in 2012 when we snapped the photos. In the spring of 2018 the motel was apparently out of business and in visibly deteriorating condition. The swimming pool was on this side of the sign.

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
