In 1946 Arthur Boots opened the Streamline Modern styled Boots Drive-In
across the street from his Boots Court motel. The Drive-In offered 24
hour service and a gift shop.
In 2016 it was being used as a Credit Union. The heavily modified building
now features a tall parapet and a large canopy that was added later,
apparently to shelter the drive thru banking windows and equipment.

You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane
road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned
lanes are still there.
