Midway Station & Cafe
2644 Hwy. 96
Phone:
This 1930s cafe building had been moved to this location by the time Mary
Maynard bought it in 1953. There was also a gas station here, but that
apparently burned down in the 1970s. The Maynard's lived in the residence
next door and some of their employees lived in a cabin which is, or was,
behind the small shed with the white door.
The Ozark "Giraffe" style stone faced main building looked
pretty distressed when we went by in 2016.
It is located shortly west of White Oak Creek and east of Cty. Rd.
30 on the north side.
