Humiston Riverside Park: Bridge 1
Pontiac has three swinging pedestrian bridges crossing the Vermillion River. Bridge #1 (shown above) was built in 1898. It provided workers in a shoe factory a more direct way to walk to work. It is located on S. Riverview Dr. about 1.5 blocks south of Water St. and connects to Play Park.

Play Park: Bridge #2
Built in 1926 during the Pontiac Chautauqua Assembly. this bridge is located at the intersection of Riverview Dr. and E. Park St. and connects Play Park with Chautaqua Park. There are two historic markers near the east end of this bridge one for the Americans who served during the war with Spain and the other for the centennial of the Illinois Central Railroad.

Play Park / Chautauqua Park: Bridge #3
Built in 1978 this is the newest of the bridges. It is located in Humiston-Riverside Park accessible off Oak St. This bridge includes an observation deck on the north side of the river.
