I love these sculptures! These very cool Season of Life Sculptures are located in Dargan Park at Madison & Fountain Sts. They represent Childhood and Youth, Middle Age and Old Age. This park is a bit off Route 66 proper, but I think they are well worth taking a few minutes to visit and contemplate.

xCarved into stones along the path that winds between the sculptures are Greek maxims that read:

"Maxims in Greek Script found on a stone over 2000 years ago"

"As young men learn to control the passions"

"In middle age be just"

"In old age give good advice and then die without regret"

"All things change and we change with them

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
