John S. Trares, a pharmacist, built this in house 1865 and sold it to Dr. Flegenbaum in 1891. He practiced his business in a small building which has now been moved to the rear of the house and used as a garage for the funeral cars.

Marks-Weber Funeral Home purchased and remodeled the property and opened in 1927. It became Weber Funeral Home in 1952 and in 1964 it was remodeled again and a one story chapel was added (on the right in this photo). It is now Weber & Rodney Funderal Home

x About Us We started traveling Historic U.S. Route 66 as a destination in 2009. It's like a 2,400 mile long drive back in time from Chicago to Santa Monica! more
xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
