This clock was originally installed on the long gone Edwardsville National Bank building, at N. Main and St. Louis Streets, in 1923. The clock was saved when the bank building was demolished and later placed here in 1998. The clock originally included chimes that sounded every 15 minutes. The chimes are long gone too.

First erected in 1923 at the corner of St. Louis Street and North Main Street

Through funds raised by public donations, the clock was relocated in this Clock Tower park and presented to the City of Edwardsville in gratitude for its commitment to historic preservation

Time capsule to be opened in 2023
