The Dwight Economic Alliance occupies the former Bank of Dwight on East Main Street. The bank was founded in 1855 This building was built in 1910 and remains the pretty much the same except for two canopies. The bank remained in the McWilliams family until 1963. In 1974 the interior was remodeled and expanded into the adjoining building which was the site of the David McWilliams store, the first store built in 1855 in Dwight.

xDid You Know: Many parts of the old 4 lane Route 66 were reverted to a 2 lane road after 66 was realigned to the interstate. In many places the abandoned lanes are still there.
